  • What once was old.....

You know the saying, “what once was old will be new again”, and when it comes to fashion, that has never been more accurate. This season, the cameo, a classic Italian hand-carved relief image, has been revived once more and given a contemporary spin that puts the chic back in antique. Tucked away with care in keepsake jewelry boxes and often passed down as family heirlooms, the cameo had just about been forgotten. Whether it’s due to a newfound interest in televised period dramas, such as Downtown Abbey and Mad Men, or the one of a kind vintage ...

  • Beaded Bookmarks make a perfect gift!

This week we are featuring a wonderful blog written by our very own Pattern and Project Creator Jennifer. She is the awesome person that creates every single project sheet that you see :-) So let's all give her a big warm Cousin Family welcome!

I love making beaded bookmarkers for friends and family, and I especially like to personalize them for the person or occasion. If you’re already giving a book as a gift then why not make it even more special with a handmade book marker?

A beaded bookmarker is simple to make and they’re a great way to ...

  • Neon is the new Spring color!

Summer is practically here and it’s time to lighten up. We’re talking about your wardrobe of course, and this season the colors are brighter than the sun! From magenta to fluorescent pink and seafoam to electric blue: the brighter the better. You may want to put on your sunglasses; neon has blanketed nearly every runway and is being used in more creative (and thankfully) tasteful ways. What’s being declared as the hottest color of the season you may ask? Acid green/yellow has topped the list. Although that may be cringe inducing for some who prefer more traditional looks, stylists have ...

  • Chic, Glamorous and Fun! Meet the Panja.

Have you seen these yet? Oh boy do they look FUN!

At a recent bridal show held in Chicago, the models were all adorned in luxurious South Asian inspired jewelry that really got a reaction out of the audience. One accessory in particular, a piece of hand jewelry that cascades down from a bangle and attaches to a ring, has been seen more regularly as an exotic statement piece. Traditionally reserved for the bride at her wedding ceremony, a hath phool (also known as a hath panja orsimply a panja), has always been the signature piece that is photographed for the wedding album. Jewelry has and will continue ...

  • Make the Connection with Nikki in Stitches!

This week we are featuring a wonderful video from our good friend “Nikki in Stitches”.  In it Nikki dives a little deeper into different ideas of what you can do with the new Cousin “Make the Connection” program.

In the video it is a little unclear on how Nikki connects the chains of the necklace to the center Make the Connection piece so she just wanted to make sure that we included that "I simply just sewed them onto the back as I was sewing the star in the top of the snap!"

If you enjoyed the video, please visit ...
