  • Sew it on!

It’s time to raid your closet. Reach into that forgotten back corner and rejuvenate some neglected blouses, tanks, halters and stretched out t-shirts. How often do you find yourself in a department store that is displaying an embellished designer blouse and think, “I could do something way more inspired and save a bundle in the process?” Well, this blog post is for you. It was modeled after popular shirts from designers like Rachael Roy that sell in Neiman Marcus for anywhere from $50 to $200. Fortunately for many of you, your creativity gene won’t allow you ...

  • Can't forget the guys!

With Father's Day being Sunday (don't forget;-) we wanted to make this week's blog about a simple and yet manly design that has been worn for years. I chose two different styles of hemp because I feel the natural look is a very suitable for most male tastes. Leather, cotton and even parachute cord can be used too to create different textures and looks. The larger natural hemp creates a wider ...

  • Make the Connection with Nikki in Stitches!

This week we are featuring a wonderful video from our good friend “Nikki in Stitches”.  In it Nikki dives a little deeper into different ideas of what you can do with the new Cousin “Make the Connection” program.

In the video it is a little unclear on how Nikki connects the chains of the necklace to the center Make the Connection piece so she just wanted to make sure that we included that "I simply just sewed them onto the back as I was sewing the star in the top of the snap!"

If you enjoyed the video, please visit ...

  • A Romantically Rustic Bracelet

This week we are welcoming our good friend Carol Heppner to the Cousin Design Blog. She has always been a great supporter and we are so happy so has created such a wonderful tutorial to share with all of us.

On my desk sits aged-copper chains and findings from Cousins®.  They have a wonderful patina and I am drawn to their rustic charm.  There can be no doubt, they must be the base on which I will build my bracelet.

Contrast and asymmetry are the main elements of my signature style, so I quickly focus on the smooth Perles de ...
