  • Crafty Pencil Cups from Cousin :-)

As a continuation of the first crafty office supply blog, I decided to try my hand at beading pencil cups. I found that the wire mesh cups were the easiest to work with and if you explore a little you may find some interesting shaped cups. The basic black cylindrical cup came from an office supply store and the pink rectangular cup came from Ikea® as a two pack. One of the pink cups was spray painted with gold and metallic spray paints to coordinate with the metallic seed beads.

    For the black pencil ...

  • Wrap up the summer!

It’s the height of summer and that means from coast to coast, music festivals are filling to capacity with people eager to show off their best in casual boho-vintage attire. America’s most fashionable festival, Coachella, has cultivated a confident 70’s inspired image that is both stylish and comfortable enough for the soaring desert temperatures. Celebrities and music lovers flock to this event from miles away to share in the culture, food, and festivities. Music and fashion have long come together to inspire others to tap into their creativity and express themselves. Summer festival accessories have made a huge impact on ...

  • Even your office desk deserves a little bling :-)

Inspired by a cute paperclip… yes a paper clip, I thought I’d give my office supplies a refresh. Using E-6000®, pliers, a bead reamer, thumb tacks, paper clips and some super cute charms my office supplies took on a new life! They’re certainly a little different but I love how fun they are. I’m hoping the next time I turn in paperwork that my cute little clips will bring a smile to whoever is on the receiving end!

For the thumb tacks I simply took the loops off of the charms (using pliers) and ...

  • DIY Table Top Earring Holder

    From the wonderfully crafty Jennifer.

Looking for a quick DIY earring holder idea that costs less than $3? I made this simple holder for a jewelry class when I wanted to showcase inspiration pieces. All you need is a two sided frame and a sheet of plastic canvas.

The frame is a 4x6” two sided plastic table top frame purchased from IKEA®. The 14-count white plastic canvas was purchased at a local craft store.

    1. First remove the two plexiglass pieces from the frame.
    2. Then use one of the plexiglass rectangles as a template for cutting the perfect size piece of plastic canvas.
    3. Just ...

  • Make the Connection with Nikki in Stitches!

This week we are featuring a wonderful video from our good friend “Nikki in Stitches”.  In it Nikki dives a little deeper into different ideas of what you can do with the new Cousin “Make the Connection” program.

In the video it is a little unclear on how Nikki connects the chains of the necklace to the center Make the Connection piece so she just wanted to make sure that we included that "I simply just sewed them onto the back as I was sewing the star in the top of the snap!"

If you enjoyed the video, please visit ...

  • Make the Connection in stores now!

Back in December we had a preview of our new Make the Connection program and we had a ton of great feedback. The wait is finally over and Make the Connection is in stores now!

Make the Connection was created with the idea that everyone, whether a jewelry designer or not, should be able to create their own style of jewelry quickly and easily without any tools. We have utilized an intricate style of snap that not only looks great but also allows all of the pieces to connect and reconnect in seconds making that morning rush of "What do I wear today?" that much easier. The program ...
